Description1
Cetraben® Lotion provides a lighter option for patients for use between flare-ups. Its light and cosmetically acceptable feel makes it ideal for use on the face, hands and hirsute skin. Cetraben® Lotion can be used where patient compliance is a challenge. It contains:
- White soft paraffin forms a protective barrier on skin surface and decreases transepidermal water loss TEWL
- Light liquid paraffin replaces lost skin oils to increase skin surface lipids (SSL)
- Glycerin (humectant) attracts and holds water in the outer layers of the skin and to compensate for reduced levels of Natural Moisturising Factor (NMF) in diseased and older skin
Ingredients1
Purified Water, Emulsifying Wax (SLS free), White Soft Paraffin 5% w/w, Light Liquid Paraffin 4% w/w, Glycerol, Phenoxyethanol, Cetostearyl Alcohol.
FREE Patient Evaluation Products
Cetraben provides Patient Evaluation Products so dermatology patients can try our range of emollients before a prescription is written

Cetraben can be used on both face and body1
Not all emollients are the same. Read more about the potential for ocular toxicity in an article published by Eye, on Nature’s website.
Whilst contact with the eyes should be avoided2, the Cetraben range has been scientifically validated as being non-irritant to the eyes3, with no reports of causing ocular toxicity, and is suitable for use on both the face and the body.1
