Description1
Cetraben® Ointment is ideal for patients who require additional hydration that creams and lotions cannot provide. The unique formulation of Cetraben® Ointment makes it a 3-in-1 emollient, skin cleanser, and bath additive:
- White soft paraffin forms a protective barrier on skin surface and decreases transepidermal water loss (TEWL)
- Light liquid paraffin replaces lost skin oils to increase skin surface lipids (SSL)
Ingredients1
Light Liquid Paraffin 45% w/w, White Soft Paraffin 35% w/w, Cetostearyl Alcohol, Polysorbate 60.
FREE Patient Evaluation Products
Cetraben provides Patient Evaluation Products so dermatology patients can try our range of emollients before a prescription is written

Cetraben can be used on both face and body1
Not all emollients are the same. Read more about the potential for ocular toxicity in an article published by Eye, on Nature’s website.
Whilst contact with the eyes should be avoided1, the Cetraben range has been scientifically validated as being non-irritant to the eyes2, with no reports of causing ocular toxicity, and is suitable for use on both the face and the body.3
